- American Recorder Society: The ARS is a not-for-profit educational membership organization formed in 1939 to advance the recorder through the free exchange of information.
- Austin Recorder Society: The Austin chapter of the American Recorder Society
- Wiki for ARS chapter leaders: ARS National Board members check the site for discussions and will answer questions about the operation and activities of local chapters.
Performing Ensembles in and around North Texas
- Dallas Bach Society: The Dallas Bach Society performs Baroque music on copies of original instruments with chorus and soloists at several different performance venues throughout the Dallas area.
- Denton Bach Society: The Denton Bach Society offers fine choral and instrumental music to the Greater Denton Community since 1976.
- Orchestra of New Spain: The Orchestra of New Spain features unpublished 18th-century Spanish works found only in manuscript in libraries of the Royal Court and cathedrals of Spain; in addition, they perform music from the general repertory of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries.
- Orpheus Chamber Singers: A professional 24-voice choir specializing in the performance of choral music of the last five centuries.
- Texas Camerata: Texas Camerata is dedicated to continuing the performance of the rich and varied repertoire of the Baroque era using period instruments.
- University of North Texas Baroque Orchestra: UNT offers an Early Music Studies program with frequent performances by the various groups under the collective name, Collegium Musicum. This link allows you to check the UNT College of Music Events calendar.
- Wireless Consort Recorder Ensemble: The Wireless Consort is a performing recorder ensemble based in the DFW area specializing in recorder music from the 15th century to the present day.

- Texas Early Music Project: The Texas Early Music Project is an Austin-based program dedicated to preserving and advancing the art of Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and early Classical music through performance, recordings, and educational outreach.
- Texas Toot: The Texas Toot is a grass roots early music workshop that puts on a week-long summer workshop and a weekend workshop in the fall.

- Choral Public Domain Library: Thousands of contributed scores and midi files for public-domain vocal and choral works. Many are very well suited for recorders and other instrumental ensembles.
- LoveSchubert Recorder Music: Maintained by Japanese recorderist “Yoshi,” this site contains works, both old and new, arranged for recorder, annotated with instruments and skill level required.
- Werner Icking Music Archive: A link to the site’s “Index by Composer,” which is less confusing than their home page. This site contains thousands of public-domain compositions in various formats, both instrumental and vocal.
- Mondrup Recorder Music: Related to the Werner Icking site in that it is a selection of just recorder music from that site, maintained by Christian and Annette Mondrup.
